10-Day Lino Cut Workshop Schedule

This workshop is designed to introduce participants to the art of linocut printing, covering techniques, tools, and creative processes. Each session lasts for 2 hours.


Day 1: Introduction to Linocut

Day 2: Designing Your First Print

  • Sketching ideas and concepts

  • Transferring designs onto linoleum blocks

  • Choosing the right size for your first print


Day 3: Carving Techniques

  • Introduction to carving tools

  • Demonstration of basic carving techniques

  • Hands-on practice with carving your designs


Day 4: Inking Your Block

  • Understanding printing inks and their properties

  • Demonstration of inking techniques

  • Practice inking your carved blocks


Day 5: Printing Your First Linocut

  • Setting up the printing area

  • Demonstration of the printing process

  • Hands-on printing of your first design


Day 6: Exploring Color Techniques

  • Introduction to color theory in printmaking
